Hi my name is Audrey Linden and I am a fourth grade teacher at Bailey Elementary and this is my fourth year in the Owasso School District As a young girl I always knew that I wanted to teach if it was teaching my friend's a new game at recess or sitting my little brother down to play school I always wanted to teach others new things then so that led me to develop being that my passion for teaching and I got my elementary education bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and I recently got my master's degree in educational leadership There are many aspects of teaching that I truly love and appreciate one of the aspects is finding the creative process behind teaching and developing the lesson plan I love to create songs to go with each of my units and find what really will resonate with my students the most My favorite thing about teaching is building those relationships with students and seeing their faces as they come in to the classroom everyday I love to see every strength they have and build upon those and just to see the success that we've created to at the end of the year Teaching really is to me about building the relationship and filtering into the curriculum as we go Mrs. Linden is a 4th grade teacher at Bailey and she has been here for four years now and she is exceptional at what she does and I feel like when I come into her classroom and watch her teach and it's like watching an artist truly create a masterpiece she is a master at engagement her students are so engaged they are so loved by her and she's just exceptional at what she does It's an honor to be named as Bailey teacher of the year. My colleagues in the best of the best I take pride in working with them every day I believe that being named teacher of the year culminates in those who have positively impacted me and poured their wisdom into me to make me a better educator While my name is singularly named das teacher of the year it truly represents and mirrors the many other names to have poured into me and crafted me into who I am today I'm Audrey Linden and I am in Owasso Ram!
